Candidates do not want to take the postponed HSC and equivalent exams. Under the circumstances, the candidates want the results of the HSC examination to be published on the basis of the number of subjects that have already been examined and by mapping the examination of the postponed subject with the corresponding subject of the SSC.
On Tuesday (August 20) at noon, they marched and entered the secretariat through gate number 5 of hundreds of students. Mike was brought in a rickshaw. He is making various demands.
After a group of students broke in, the gate was closed next to Muktangan between GPO and Paltan. Later they took position in front of building number six. At one point the students sat there. They are there 'our demands must be obeyed, obeyed obeyed'; 'If the claim is taken lightly, the mattress will go away'; Chanting slogans like 'Amar bhai is in the hospital, why are we in the exam hall'?
Students also take turns giving speeches. They say, there is no mental condition to take the exam. Under no circumstances do we want to sit in the examination hall.
The policemen on duty at the gate of the secretariat have taken position in a safe place. They said they have not received any instructions. An on-duty police officer, who did not want to be named, said, "This is not the way to perform duties."
It is to be noted that today in a meeting in the Ministry of Education it was decided that the remaining subjects of the HSC and equivalent examinations will be held in half question and answer format. And the exam will be postponed by another 2 weeks from September 11. This decision was taken in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Wahiduddin Mahmud, Education Advisor of the Interim Government in the Ministry of Education. Dhaka Education Board Chairman Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar told Prothom Alo this information.
For example, if you had to answer 8 questions in a subject earlier, now you have to answer four questions. But the examination time will be full time.
