The Republic of Korea has announced to give 10 million US dollars this year as humanitarian aid to the Rohingya refugees who have taken refuge in Bangladesh.
Today (Tuesday) the South Korean Embassy in Dhaka informed this information.
According to the embassy, this humanitarian assistance will be given this year through the international organizations UNHCR, IOM, WFP and UNFPA in Bangladesh. Since 2017, the Republic of Korea has continued to cooperate with the Bangladesh government and international organizations for the Rohingya. Accordingly, it continues to pay 3 to 5 million US dollars annually. This year's funding is three times more than the previous year's funding. It is the largest humanitarian aid to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
