25 Hindus join Jamaat-e-Islami

25 people of traditional religion in Chapainawabganj have officially joined Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. They were included in the party by filling out the primary membership form at a formal ceremony at the Chapainawabganj district Jamaat office on Sunday (September 14) at 12 noon.
Jamaat's central committee member and former MP from Chapainawabganj-3 constituency, Professor Latifur Rahman, confirmed this to the media. He said that Jamaat's invitational activities among people of different professions and religions are continuing, which is getting a positive response from the people.
All the joinees are residents of Ward No. 2 of Chapainawabganj Municipality. Notable among them are - Shri Suman Karmakar Saha, Sukumar Paramanik, Shri Chandan Das, Shri Sudarshan Mandal, Bakshanath Thakur, Joynal Chowdhury, Kanai Chowdhury, Bharat Chowdhury, Satish Mandal, Bablu Mandal, Situ Mandal, Sumal Mandal, Dalan Mandal and Montu Lal Chowdhury among others. It is learnt that Shri Suman Karmakar Saha has led the process of joining.
Professor Latifur Rahman said,
“This joining proves that our ideals and thoughts are becoming acceptable to people of all classes and religions. InshaAllah, this activity will expand further in the future.”
He further added that this joining is not just an organizational activity, but is carrying a new message of brotherhood and understanding.
