BNP's signed page not included in July Charter: Ruhul Kabir Rizvi

Published: 07:57 30 October 2025
While providing financial assistance at the house of Gafur Mallick, a blind person from Pachuria Union in Rajbari Sadar Upazila on Thursday afternoon (October 30), BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that the signed page of BNP was not included in the July National Charter 2025. However, the commission submitted the charter by attaching another page.
Rizvi said, "This is a very sad and fraudulent act. Such fraud with the people cannot continue. The people had confidence in the government formed under the leadership of Dr. Mohammad Yunus and the activities of the commission. But such fraudulent incidents can happen from within the commission—people cannot believe it."
He also mentioned that the July Charter has 47 to 48 clauses, which will require an amendment to the constitution to implement. Former district BNP general secretary Harun Or Rashid, joint convener Aslam Mia and other leaders and activists were present at the time.
