Anyone Attempting Vote Rigging Will End Up in Hospital: Sarjis Alam

Sarjis Alam, Chief Organizer of the National Citizen Party (NCP) in the northern region and the 11-party alliance–nominated parliamentary candidate for the Panchagarh-1 constituency, has issued a strong warning against any attempt at vote rigging, saying he would not allow even a single vote to be stolen.
Speaking at an election rally held on Monday afternoon (9 February) at the Panchagarh High School ground, Sarjis Alam said he and his supporters were prepared to shed blood or even sacrifice their lives to protect the integrity of the vote. He warned that anyone who comes to steal votes would “end up in hospital,” adding that such individuals should be prepared to say their final goodbyes before attempting such actions.
He said the election scheduled for the 12th is not merely a contest for votes, but a struggle to establish justice and achieve liberation. Referring to possible manipulation of the electoral process, he cautioned that any attempt at election engineering or implementation of secret plans would have serious consequences.
Sarjis Alam also urged the Election Commission and all relevant authorities to remain vigilant to ensure a free and fair election.
Criticizing certain political actors, he said some individuals present themselves as decent politicians while allegedly nurturing extortionists and criminals at the grassroots level. According to him, the public must recognize and reject such double standards.
He further stated that although a previous uprising failed to fully free the country, the upcoming election represents the only remaining path to liberation from what he described as a new form of authoritarianism.
