A case has been filed in the UK against Hasnat Abdullah, the main organizer and MP of the National Citizens Party (NCP). The case has been filed at a London police station.
The complaint names several other NCP leaders and activists. In addition, some unidentified people have also been accused. As part of the investigation into the complaint, one person has been taken into police custody for questioning, sources said.
A statement issued by the NCP UK Alliance claimed that the case has been filed with political motives. The organization alleged that there has been a long-standing attempt to spread misinformation and harassment against its leaders and the recent case is also part of it.
The statement also said that attempts are being made to obstruct Hasnat Abdullah's various programs and exchange of views with expatriate Bangladeshis during his stay in the UK. However, the organization also claimed that these efforts will not be successful.
On the other hand, a formal investigation by the relevant authorities into the case is ongoing. Law enforcement agencies are collecting necessary information and data to determine the truth of the allegations and the details of the incident.
