Earlier, he was seen as a guest commentator in international matches, but this time the former Tiger captain will be seen in the entire series. Tamim is also with Athar Ali Khan, Harsha Bhogled in the India series.
Tamim Iqbal has a special interest in commentary. After leaving cricket, he also expressed his desire to settle down in commentary instead of coming to the coaching line. Despite retiring from international T20, this former captain has not yet announced his decision about Test and ODI cricket. In the meantime, he was seen in full commentary.
At one stage of the commentary, in response to a question from co-commentator Harsh Bhogle, Tamim said about Shakib, he is bowling brilliantly, Pakistan has bowled brilliantly despite not getting many wickets in the series. However, recently Shakib is struggling a bit with his batting!
Bhogle also said that the cricketer who has improved the most in the last few days is Mehdi Hasan Miraj. Miraj, who had a series best against Pakistan, is being touted as the Shakib of the future. A few days ago, Tiger head coach Chandika Hathurusingha also said the same.
He wants to know Tamim's opinion. In response, Tamim took some time to express his opinion. Tamim said, Miraj is now getting regular runs with the bat. Pace is comfortable, spin is also played very well. On the other hand, Shakib has been 'struggling' with the bat lately, so he is in favor of testing Mirage in the batting order instead of Shakib.
