Anderson returns to T20 after 11 years

Anderson is a legend of Test cricket, but this time he is returning to T20. Former England pacer James Anderson is going to take the field in T20 cricket after 11 years.

James Anderson, the current pace bowling coach of the England national team, is returning to a new role. The 42-year-old pacer will play first-class cricket for Lancashire in the upcoming season as well as in the T20 Blast.

He last played a match in short-form cricket for Lancashire in 2014. He last played a T20 for the national team even earlier, in 2009. Anderson started his journey in recognized cricket for Lancashire 25 years ago. He is very excited to sign a contract with the club for one season.

‘I am very excited to sign a new contract for Lancashire and get the opportunity to take the field again. This club has been an important part of my life since I was a child. I am looking forward to helping the team in red and white ball cricket.’

Anderson played only one match last season. There, he proved his ability by taking 7 wickets for 35 runs. This time, he is preparing himself for the upcoming season.

In addition to his coaching duties for the England team, the pacer is regularly improving his fitness. He said, ‘I am working hard to keep my fitness level high. I am also continuing to practice bowling during coaching.’

Anderson’s return to the county season starting in April is something special for his fans and supporters. Despite being England’s highest Test wicket-taker of all time, his commitment to his playing career is truly commendable.
