Morocco made history by reaching the U-20 World Cup final for the first time. And they took that history one step further. The Moroccan youth team defeated six-time world champions Argentina 2-0 in the final held in Santiago, Chile on Monday to win the title. This is not only the U-20, but also the first title in the history of Morocco in any age-based World Cup.

The hero of the match was Yasser Jabiri, who became the key to the team's victory with two goals. All of Morocco's goals came in the first half. Jabiri scored the first goal from the penalty spot in the 12th minute of the match when Argentine goalkeeper Santino Barbie fouled Jabiri. In the 29th minute, English club Watford winger Othman Mamma crossed the ball to Xabiry, who beat an Argentine defender. The stadium became a piece of Morocco after Xabiry's victory.

Morocco had a two-goal advantage in the first half and thwarted all of Argentina's efforts. This was the first defeat for Argentina, who had won six consecutive matches and reached the final. Although they had 76% of the ball possession and took 20 shots, they failed to score.

Morocco reached the final by defeating South Korea, the United States and France in the knockout stage. This was Argentina's first defeat in history. Previously, Ghana had won the last Under-20 World Cup for Africa in 2009.

After the final defeat, Lionel Messi wrote on Instagram in support of the Argentine youth, "Keep your heads up, boys! You played a great tournament." Argentina Under-20 coach Diego Placento also praised the Moroccan players.

Morocco's victory marked the beginning of a new chapter in the history of African football, as they won the World Cup for the first time at Under-20 level.
