South Africa is coming to play series against Afghanistan for the first time

South Africa is coming to play a bilateral series against Afghanistan for the first time. The two teams will play a three-match ODI series in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates next September. Sharjah is known as the home venue of Afghanistan.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) made this known in a statement. The series is not part of ICC's Future Tour Program (FTP).
