Tamims allege irregularities in BCB elections to State Minister for Sports

The last election of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was held in October last year. Tamim Iqbal and a large part of the club organizers in Dhaka have been complaining about the committee led by Aminul Islam Bulbul since before the election. Due to this, they did not participate in the election.
On Sunday, the club organizers in Dhaka will write to State Minister for Sports Aminul Islam to complain about these irregularities.
In October last year, the most talked about issue in the country's sports arena was the BCB board of directors election. A few days before the election, 16 clubs boycotted the election. They alleged government interference and various irregularities. At that time, 8 clubs in Dhaka boycotted first division cricket, so the 20-team league was limited to only 12 teams. Other leagues are also in uncertainty.
Even after the election, some tournaments including the BPL were organized under the new BCB committee, but domestic cricket was not properly conducted. This instability has been prevailing for some months. Under the current BCB, 45 clubs in Dhaka boycotted domestic cricket.
The organizers are hoping to file a complaint with the Sports Ministry after the formation of the new government. Confirming the matter to Dhaka Post, sports organizer Rafiqul Islam Babu said, “We are all going to the NSC now. All the organizers have signed the complaint that we will file.”
