Playing without Messi, Miami is out of the last sixteen
A Lionel Messi was pulling Inter Miami. Miami won the League Cup after joining the club last year. Messi was the best player of the tournament. It was with his hands that Miami got the first trophy in their history.
That Messi is now out of the field due to injury. Inter Miami is also doing well. Messi-less Miami has been eliminated from the last sixteen of the Leagues Cup. The team was eliminated from the League Cup after losing 3-2 to the reigning champions of Major League Soccer, the Columbus Crew.
However, until 62 minutes, Inter Miami was leading 2-0 in the match. From there, Columbus took a dramatic victory with three goals in 13 minutes.
Paraguayan midfielder Matias Rojas gave Miami the lead in the 10th minute. In the 62nd minute, another Paraguayan, Diego Gomez, doubled the lead.
From there, Columbus turned around incredulously. United States striker Christian Ramirez scored in the 67th minute and Diego Rossi scored in the 69th minute. Another goal by Uruguayan forward Rossi gave Columbus the win 11 minutes later
