Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) board meeting tomorrow. The meeting will be held in the meeting room of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, not at the BCB office. It is assumed that BCB President Nazmul Hasan's resignation letter will be presented and accepted in this meeting.
In this meeting, someone's name may be announced as the new president. It is heard that former captain of Bangladesh national cricket team Farooq Ahmed can be the new president of BCB.
Earlier, Jalal Yunus resigned from the post of BCB director yesterday. In Nazmul's current cricket board, he was the head of cricket management. Jalal Yunus was the National Sports Council (NSC) nominated director in BCB. He was asked to resign from the NSC.
Ahmed Sazzadul Alam, another BCB director nominated by the organization, was also asked to resign from NSC. But he has not resigned yet.
Farooq Ahmed may be brought in as the director in the vacancy of Jalal Yunus. After that, the president will be elected by the board of directors. It is assumed that Farooq will be elected president in that election.
Nazmul must resign before going through this process. It is believed that his resignation may be received in tomorrow's meeting. However, sources said, he has not submitted his resignation letter to BCB till now. It is not known whether it was given elsewhere or not.
