Rain in the capital, but the heat wave still persists

Several areas of the country, including the capital, have been receiving rain since yesterday. Meteorologists said the rain is due to the activation of the monsoon. They also say that a low pressure area may form in the Bay of Bengal in a day or two, when the amount of rain may increase further. However, the amount of rain that has started now is unlikely to be high, and it may decrease from tomorrow, Saturday.
The country's temperature has increased due to the decrease in rain in this September. On September 1, the maximum temperature was recorded in Sylhet at 38 degrees Celsius, and in the capital at 37 degrees. After a few days of no rain, the amount of rain has increased in various regions, including the capital, Chittagong and Sylhet, in the last two days. Today, from 6 am to 12 noon, 5 millimeters of rain fell in the capital. The highest rainfall was recorded in Faridpur, 42 millimeters.
Meteorologist Md. Toriful Newaz Kabir said that the rain may increase further in the capital after noon today, but it will not be much. Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong may also receive rain. Even if the amount of rain decreases tomorrow, it may increase again after Sunday.
Although the temperature is high in many places, there is some relief from the heat due to the increase in humidity in the air. Meteorologists said that the monsoon is currently more active than before and the amount of water vapor has increased due to the recent low pressure and land depression, which is playing an important role in rainfall.
