Allegation of bribery against UP land officer in Kalkini

Madaripur's Kalkini Upazila Sidikhan Union Land Assistant Officer Md. Bahlul Akan has been accused of bribery, various irregularities-corruption and misconduct.

Several victim families have filed a written complaint with Upazila Nirbahi Officer Uttam Kumar Dash in this incident. In view of this complaint, the land officer has been mourned. Upazila administration confirmed this information on Wednesday (October 16) afternoon. Meanwhile, the local conscious group protested in front of the Union Land Office office demanding his quick removal as the land official did not stop his bribery business despite mourning. On the other hand, the authorities said that legal action will be taken against him.

According to the complaints of the victims and information from multiple sources, the upazila's Sidikhan Union land assistant officer said. Since joining Bahlul Akon, he has extorted huge sums of money from the people who came to seek service by doing various types of work including naming, filing, and the victims claim that he is not working properly even with the money. In this incident, the local Md. Mojibur Rahman and Md. Two victims named Kabir Mia filed a written complaint with Upazila Nirbahi Officer Uttam Kumar Das. The land officer was bereaved after receiving the complaint. Despite this show-cause, the land official did not stop his bribe business and demanded his immediate removal in front of the office of the Union Land Office. On the other hand, the authorities said that legal action will be taken against him.

Complainant Md. Mojibur Rahman and Md. Around half a hundred local conscious people protestors including Kabir Mia said that no action was taken even after complaining to the administration about bribery and various irregularities and corruption against the land official. So we want his speedy removal.

Accused Land Assistant Officer. When Bahlul Akan wanted to go to the issue of bribery business, he did not agree to talk about it.

In this regard, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Uttam Kumar Dash said, Sidikhan Union Land Assistant Officer. I have received a written complaint against Bahlul Akan regarding bribery scam and various irregularities and corruption. And he is primarily show-caused. However, swift legal action will be taken against him.
