Abu Tachin, just eight years old, is living through terrible mental and physical pain from the beginning of his life. Tachin gradually started behaving abnormally since birth. As he grew older, that behavior took on a more horrific form. His parents had to tie his hands and feet due to his tendency to hurt himself.
Tachin's father is Sujan Mia, a rickshaw puller from Dashal area of Durgapur municipality in Netrokona, and his mother is Taslima Begum, a garment worker. The family, which is struggling financially, has not been able to continue the child's treatment for a long time. As a result, Tachin's illness has worsened. Doctors said that the child can recover if he gets proper treatment and regular care. But treatment was financially impossible for his family.
Recently, when a video of Tachin being tied up went viral on social media, it came to the attention of Barrister Kaiser Kamal, the legal affairs secretary of the central BNP. After learning about the matter, he came forward out of a sense of humanitarian responsibility. On Thursday (October 30) morning, he announced that he would take full responsibility for Tachin's treatment and ordered to quickly take better treatment measures for him.
Barrister Kaiser Kamal said, "A child can never live in a restricted life. I am taking that responsibility so that Tachin can return to a normal life again."
Local people and social organizations have expressed gratitude for his humanitarian initiative. They hope that with Barrister Kaiser Kamal's sympathy and cooperation, a new light will return to little Tachin's life, and like other children, he will also get back the touch of a free, normal life.
