BNP has been celebrating a series of programs in Ashulia and Jamgarh areas with the slogan that no referendum or farce election will be accepted before the national parliament elections. As part of the implementation of the 31-point plan announced by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, Dhaka District North Chhatra Dal has distributed leaflets seeking votes in favor of rice sheaves.
The program held in the afternoon was led by District North Chhatra Dal President Mohammad Tamiz Uddin. Organizational Secretary Manjarul Haque Sourav, Chhatra Dal leaders Johnny Dewan, Sanwar Hossain and other leaders were present at the time.
During his speech, Mohammad Tamiz Uddin said, “The conspiracy is not over yet. A new plan has been started to disrupt the election process before the February national elections. However, the youth of the country, led by Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman, will remain steadfast in the movement to restore democracy.”
At the program, leaders and activists held banners and festoons and chanted slogans—
“We do not accept referendum, we want votes in rice husks!”
“The conspiracy is not over, be vigilant, Bangladesh”
“Implementation of Tarique Rahman’s 31 points is the path to people’s liberation!”
At this time, a festive atmosphere was created in the area with the presence of Chhatra Dal workers. Leaflets of rice husks were handed over to pedestrians, shopkeepers and locals and an appeal was made to actively participate in restoring democracy.
