In Savar, Chhatra Dal conducted a day-long mass outreach program to seek votes using the symbol of a sheaf of rice and to convey the 31-point plan to repair the state structure announced by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman to the general public. At the same time, votes were sought for BNP nominated candidate Dr. Dewan Mohammad Salauddin Babu in Dhaka-19 constituency.
The mass outreach started on Saturday from the Radio Colony bus stand on Dhaka-Aricha Road. It was led by Sujan Sikder, Joint General Secretary No. 1 of Dhaka District North Chhatra Dal. When the campaign convoy reached the Chapain area via Savar bus stand, the campaign ended with a short rally there.
During the mass outreach, Chhatra Dal leaders distributed leaflets to people of different classes and professions, including businessmen and pedestrians, and highlighted the main ideas of BNP's 31-point plan. They said,
“This movement to repair the state is not in the interest of any political party, it is a struggle to restore the rights of the people.”
At the rally, Sujan Sikder said,
“We will vote together with the young and old on the paddy husk—this is our pledge. The implementation of the 31-point agenda to save the country and rebuild the fragile state structure is the demand of the hour. Only the paddy husk can show the way.”
He also said that the current state structure has collapsed, the common man is deprived of his fair rights. Therefore, the real liberation of the people is not possible without structural changes.
During the campaign, Chhatra Dal leaders and activists asked everyone to vote for the victory of BNP candidate Dr. Dewan Mohammad Salauddin Babu in the Dhaka-19 constituency. A festive atmosphere was created around the campaign throughout the area and the presence and response of the common man was notable.
The conviction of Chhatra Dal leaders—
“The paddy husk will light the light of change with the people.”
